Chocolate skulls

D.L. & Co chocolate skull truffles

Celebrate Day of the Dead with decadent chocolate skull truffles by D.L. & Co., pictured above. From left to right: scorched caramel, bitter white brandied cherry, curious chili. (I’m not making up these names, folks.) At an outrageous $100 for a set of three, the price alone will kill you.Vosges chocolate skulls

Vosges offers three types of chocolate skulls with edible black glitter eye sockets for a much more affordable $8 each: Red Fire (ancho and chipotle chilies, cinnamon, dark chocolate), Barcelona (hickory smoked almonds, grey sea salt, milk chocolate) and Bianca (plain white chocolate). The first two are basically cranium-shaped versions of their candy bar counterparts. These skulls are mindblowingly tasty and really adorable, too.

I don’t have pictures of my bone cookies, sadly. :(

The Vosges chocolates are great!!! I loved the Red Fire skull I tried, and the Blue Mountain coffee truffle from the Zion Truffle Collection. Looking forward to trying the scotch bonnett pepper truffles…
