Alex Kapranos, frontman of Franz Ferdinand, has written a book. Sound Bites: Eating on Tour with Franz Ferdinand, which releases sometime this fall, includes columns he’s written for The Guardian such as this one. His articles read like a food-focused travelogue/journal with lots of blunt, colorful observations. I normally avoid celebrity-penned anything, but Kapranos’ writing shows a real passion for and enjoyment of food and travel without any snobbery.
